GRIFFIN SILVERSMITH JEWELLER AND MEDALLIST 25 CHANGE ALLEY CORNHILL LONDON". Reverse: Detailed view of the entrance of the new Thames Tunnel with legend on five lines in exergue: "THAMES TUNNEL 1200FT 18 YEARS BUILDING COST £416,000 OPEN'D MAR 25 1843". Plain edge. William Griffin was a die-sinker and jeweller with a business in London. Comes with old collectors ticket. Lovely collectable condition with surfaces lightly lacquered, nicer than photograph.
