Bristol (Gloucestershire) town farthing token dated 1652. Obverse: "C*B 1652" (Civitas Bristol) in centre with legend: "* A * BRISTOLL * FARTHING". The small "R" below the date is the initial of Rawlins, the engraver. Reverse: A ship sailing from a castle in centre with legend: "* THE * ARMES * OF * BRISTOLL". Reasonable collectable condition for type, see photograph.
