Scarce George III Sheffield (Yorkshire) penny token dated 1812. Obverse: Bust of George III to the right with legend: "FOR PUBLIC ACCOMMODATION SHEFFIELD”. Reverse: Britannia seated to left holding an olive branch with a sailing ship in the far distance and legend: "ONE PENNY TOKEN 1812". Centre grained edge (/////). Listed in Paul & Bente Withers' “British Copper Tokens 1811-1820” as “SCARCE”. Good collectable condition, see photograph.
