Rare Mihell's Caravan Office London Penny

Rare John Mihell's London (Middlesex) copper penny token undated. Obverse: Legend on seven lines: “MIHELL'S ORIGINAL CARAVAN OFFICE No. 15 LITTLE COMPTON STREET SOHO LONDON”. Reverse: Horse-drawn covered wagon travelling to the left with legend: “PRO BONO PUBLICO ESTABLISHED 1800”. Straight milled edge. Issued by John Mihell, a corn chandler in London. Listed in Paul & Bente Withers' “British Copper Tokens 1811-1820” as “RARE”. Ex-Tompkin Collection. Good collectable condition for type as they are usually found with heavy edge knocks, see photograph.
