Dolcoath Mine Camborne (Cornwall) copper penny token undated. Obverse: Legend on two lines in centre and within border round periphery: "CORNISH PENNY PAYABLE IN CASH NOTES AT DOLCOATH". Reverse: The family arms of Francis Basset with banner beneath: "PRO REGE ET POPULO", (for King and people). Centre-grained edge (\\\\\). Francis Basset (Baron de Dunstanville) owned the land on which the mine stood and was the most prominent mine owner. Good collectable condition, see photograph.
