William Curtis' Chatteris (Cambridgeshire) farthing token dated 1813. Obverse: Legend on seven lines, the top and bottom curved: "W. CURTIS. WHOLESALE & RETAIL. GROCER & TEA DEALER LINNEN & WOOLLEN DRAPER". Reverse: A sugar loaf between two tea caddies labelled: "HYSON" and "SOUCHONG", with legend: "CHATTERIS FARTHING 1813". Plain edge. William Curtis was a grocer and draper with a business in Chatteris. Good collectable condition, see photograph.
