Scarce Bristol & South Wales Penny 1811

Scarce Bristol and South Wales (Somerset) copper penny token dated 1811. Obverse: Castle tower entrance with portcullis, sailing ship in background surrounded by garter with crossed arms holding a snake and scales above with legend: “VIRTUTE ET INDUSTRIA 1811 ”. Reverse: Prince of Wales plumed feathers with legend: “ONE PENNY TOKEN BRISTOL & SOUTH WALES ”. Centre grained edge (\\\\\). Listed in Paul & Bente Withers' “British Copper Tokens 1811-1820” as “SCARCE”. Good collectable condition, see photograph.
