Scarce Birmingham & South Wales (Warwickshire) copper penny token dated 1812. Obverse: Prince of Wales’ triple-plumed crest in centre and legend round periphery: “BIRMINGHAM & SOUTH WALES 1812 ”. Reverse: Horse in centre and legend round periphery: “ONE PENNY COPPER TOKEN”. Engrailed edge (//////). Listed in Paul & Bente Withers' "British Copper Tokens 1811-1820" as "SCARCE". Good collectable condition, reverse from rusty die with uneven colour, see photograph.
