Samuel Fereday's Bilston (Staffordshire) penny token dated 1811. Obverse: Detailed view of engine house and blast furnaces in full production: “PRIEST FIELD FURNACES 1811”. Reverse: Text round periphery and in centre: “BRADLEY BILSTON & PRIESTFIELD.* COLLERIES & IRON WORKS * ONE PENNY PAYABLE AT BILSTON S. FEREDAY”. Diagonally milled edge. Samuel Fereday was the largest industrialist in the area. Nice collectable condition, see photograph.
