Charles I Half Merk Briot's Issue

Charles I (1625-1649) silver half merk (six shillings and eight pence / eighty pence), Third Coinage, Briot's issue (Murray Obverse 2(i), Reverse 1(a)). "B" under bust and above crown. Obverse: Crowned bust to left with lozenge either side of value " VI" with "8" below, indicating denomination, behind the head and legend: "CAR DG SCOT ANG FR ET HIB R " (Charles by the grace of God King of Scotland England France and Ireland) with "B" below bust. Reverse: Crown over royal shield dividing crowned "C - R" with lozenge below either side and legend: "CHRISTO AVSPICE REGNO " (I reign under the auspices of Christ). Good collectable condition for type, see photograph.
