James VI Turner 1614 Issue


James VI (1567-1625) copper turner (two pence) issue of 1614. Obverse: Triple thistle in centre with legend: " IACOBVS DEI GRA MAG BRIT", (James by the grace of God of Great Britain). Reverse: Crowned lion rampant with two pellets to indicate denomination behind tail and legend: "FRANCIE ET HIBERNIE REX", (France and Ireland King). Reasonable collectable condition for type with even pitting, see photograph.
