Mary Queen of Scots Hardhead 1558 with 1575 c/m

Mary Queen of Scots (1542-1567) hardhead or lion (three halfpence) First Period (1542-1558) dated 1558 with the James VI star-in-heart countermark of 1575 marking it as a genuine coin and not a counterfeit. Obverse: Crowned "M" with pellet in centre and legend: "+MARIA D G SCOTOR REGINA", (Mary by the grace of God Queen of Scots). Reverse: Crowned lion rampant with legend: "VICIT VERITAS 1558", (Truth has conquered). Rare with the 1575 c/m and in reasonable collectable condition, see photograph.
