Mary Queen of Scots Hardhead 1558

Mary Queen of Scots (1542-1567) hardhead or lion (three halfpence) First Period (1542-1558) dated 1558. Obverse: Crowned "M" with pellet in centre and legend: "+MARIA D G SCOTOR REGINA", (Mary by the grace of God Queen of Scots). Reverse: Crowned lion rampant with legend: "VICIT VERITAS 1558", (Truth has conquered). Reasonable collectable condition for issue on usual irregular flan, see photograph.
