James III (1460-1488), silver groat (twelve pence), Light Issue III (1475), Edinburgh mint. Obverse: Tressure of ten arcs with facing bust, crown of three tall fleurs, mm cross pattée with double saltire stops. Reverse: Long cross with six-pointed triple pellets in first and third quarters, pierced mullets in second and fourth quarters, legend with double saltire stops, obverse 5, reverse C. Rare coin in nice condition for type with a few inert verdegris spots, see photograph.
