Robert II (1371-1390), silver groat (four pence), Phase 2, Edinburgh mint. Obverse: Bust to left with star on sceptre handle, trefoils within tressure of six arcs, double cross stops with legend: "ROBERTVS ‡ DEI ‡ GRA' ‡ R[EX] ‡ SCOTTOR[VM]". Reverse: Cross with mullets in each quarter and cross and crescent and single cross stops with inner legend: "VILLA EDINBVRGH". It is very difficult to find an example of this coin with such a clear contraction mark over the "A" in "GRA". Reasonable collectable condition with good portrait and edge chip, see photograph.
