David II (1329-1371), silver groat, Edinburgh Mint, second coinage (1357-1371), Class "B1". Obverse: Large old bust to left with legend: "DAVID ‡ DEI ‡ REX ‡ COTORVM", with double cross stops. Reverse long cross with four mullets in centre with legend on two lines: "+ DNS PTECTORMS & LIBATORMS", "VILLA EDINBVRGH" with cross and crescent stops. Reasonable collectable condition, off-centre obverse with better reverse, on a small flan, see photograph. Spink No: S.5095. Diameter 24.7mm.
