Alexander III Perth Penny Class "E1/E"

Alexander III (1249-1286), silver penny, second coinage, class E1/E with unbarred "A" and incurved uprights. Obverse:  Bust to left with legend: "+ALEXANDER DEI GRA". Reverse: Two mullets of six points and two stars of seven points giving a total of twenty-six points thus indicating a supposed mint town of Perth, with legend: "REX SCOTORVM+". Reasonable collectable condition with light strike in centres and professional restoration, see photograph.
