Rare William the Lion Crescent & Pellet Edinburgh Penny

William the Lion (1165-1214), silver penny, Crescent & Pellet Coinage type II (c.1180-1195), Edinburgh mint, moneyer HVE. Obverse: Bust facing left with cross pommée headed sceptre and legend: "LE REI WILLAM". Reverse: Short cross with crescents and pellets in the quarters and legend: “HVE ON EDENEBV.”. Already a rare coin with HVE, the rarer of the two Edinburgh moneyers HVE and ADAM working separately, on full flan in nice condition for type, see photograph.
