George II (1727-1760) silver Lima halfcrown dated 1746. This money was struck from coinage and bullion of Spanish South America captured by Anson off the coast of Peru, and in the Peruvian port of Paita, during the course of his voyage round the world. This is the variety with "V" in the King’s name. A coin with an interesting history. Good collectable condition, see photograph.
