Very rare counterfeit John Wilkinson's (Warwickshire) copper Conder halfpenny token dated 1792. Obverse: Bust of John Wilkinson with legend: “IOHN WILKISON IRON MASTER.”. Reverse: Vulcan seated hammering on anvil behind which is a ship with legend: “HALFPENNY 1792”. Edge inscription: “PAYABLE IN BEDWORTH HINKLEY OR NUNEATON”. Listed in Dalton & Hamer as "RR - VERY RARE". The Wilkinson Series was wrongly attributed by Dalton & Hamer to Warwickshire and should have been included in the Shropshire section.
