Counterfeit Wilkinson's Iron Master & Furnaces Halfpenny 1787

Counterfeit Wilkinson's (Warwickshire) copper halfpenny token dated 1787. Obverse: Bust of John Wilkinson with his name misspelt in legend: “IOHN WILKISON IRON MASTER.”. Reverse: The interior of a smithy showing a large drop hammer and a workman holding a piece of metal on an anvil in front of an open furnace with the date: “1787” in the exergue. Edge inscription: “ANGLESEY LONDON OR LIVERPOOL”. Contemporary counterfeit token in reasonable collectable condition for type with the usual die flaw beginning on the obverse, see photograph.
