Reverse: Three lions rampant with legend: “PROMISSORY HALFPENNY PAYABLE AT”. Edge
inscription: “BIRMINGHAM W. HAMPTON OR LITCHFIELD”. This was issued by
Henry Biggs who was the landlord of a public house named either, the
“General Elliot”, or the “Dr. Johnsons Head”, located in Moore Street,
