Hardy's Boy and Hedgehogs Shield Birmingham Halfpenny 1793

Hardy’s Birmingham (Warwickshire) copper halfpenny token dated 1793. Obverse: Figure of boy with spanner in hand standing by large auger with legend: “BIRMINGHAM HALFPENNY 1793”. Reverse: The arms of the Hardy family consisting of a shield with four hedgehogs and a hedgehog crest and legend: “INDUSTRY HAS IT’S SURE REWARD”. Edge inscription: “CURRENT EVERY WHERE”. Nice collectable condition, see photograph.
