Charles Guest's Bury (Suffolk) copper halfpenny token dated 1795. Obverse: Auctioneer’s arm and hand holding a hammer: "GOING. A GOING 1795". Reverse: Standing winged figure of Fame to left, blowing trumpet and holding a palm branch: "PAYABLE AT CHARLES GUEST’S AUCTIONEER BURY". Diagonally milled edge. Charles Guest was an auctioneer with premises in Hatter Street, Bury. Approximately 7,500 struck. Nice collectable condition but with old collector's inked number on obverse, see photograph.
