Horton's Stafford Cobblers Halfpenny 1797

Horton's Stafford (Staffordshire) copper halfpenny token dated 1797. Obverse: The Armorial bearings of the Town of Stafford, a triple-towered castle within four lions with legend: “STAFFORD 1797”. Reverse: A cypher “WH” in ornamental script and legend: “HALFPENNY”. Edge inscription: “PAYABLE BY HORTON AND COMPANY + + +”. William Horton was a boot and shoe manufacturer with a business in Stafford. Good collectable condition, see photograph.
