Dunham & Yallop's Goldsmith Norwich (Norfolk) copper halfpenny token dated 1792. Obverse: The coat of arms of Norwich consisting of a three turreted gateway over a lion with raised paw, crowned, with sword and mace in saltire behind with legend: “SUCCESS TO THE CITY OF NORWICH”. Reverse: Old fashioned shop front with two windows and a glass door between them over which is a large circular sign showing a bird with wings extended. Above the door is written “DUNHAM & YALLOP” and beneath the fanlight is “TEAS”. The entire design is enclosed within a circle of leaves with legend: “NORWICH HALFPENNY 1792”. Edge inscription: “PAYABLE AT THE SHOP OF DUNHAM & YALLOP GOLD-SMITHS”. Dunham & Yallop were goldsmiths and jewellers with premises in the market place in Norwich.
