Clarke’s Norwich (Norfolk) copper halfpenny token dated 1794. Obverse: A fur muff and tippet with legend: “PAYABLE AT J. CLARKES MARKET PLACE NORWICH *”. Reverse: An umbrella, stocking, hat and glove with legend: “NO 2 GENTLEMANS WALK 1794”. Plain rounded edge. Joseph Clarke was a hosier and hatter with an outfitter’s business working from premises at No. 2 Gentleman’s Walk, Norwich. Nice collectable condition, see photograph. D&H Norfolk No: 22.
