Bullen & Martin’s Norwich (Norfolk) copper halfpenny token dated 1794. Obverse: Key suspended from an ornamental iron archway with legend: “PAYABLE AT BULLEN AND MARTINS”, “MARKET PLACE NORWICH”. Reverse: An old plough and shuttle with legend: “SUCCESS TO THE PLOUGH & SHUTTLE”. Plain edge. Bullen and Martin were ironmongers in the Market Place, Norwich. The plough was an unusual type they probably had for sale. Good collectable condition, see photograph. D&H Norfolk No: 19. Diameter 28.9mm.
