Sir Isaac Newton London (Middlesex) copper Conder halfpenny token dated 1793. Obverse: Bust to left with legend: “SR ISAAC NEWTON”. Reverse: Winged caduceus with intertwined serpents, olive branch and cornucopia with legend: “HALFPENNY 1793”. Engrailed edge. Of interest to coin collectors as, in addition to being Astronomer Royal and famous scientist, Sir Isaac Newton was also Master of the Royal Mint for a time, then situated in the Tower of London.
