Scarce Schooling's Scales Manufacturer London Halfpenny 1795

Scarce Schooling's London (Middlesex) copper Conder halfpenny token dated 1795. Obverse: Standing figure of Justice holding scales and sword, with bell and flat weights on the ground either side of her: “SCHOOLING & SON SCALE MAKERS NO. 44 BISHOPSGATE WITHIN LONDON”. Reverse: An eighteenth century iron stove and kettle: “FURNISHING IRONMONGERS & SMITHS AT THEIR MANUFACTORY CRISPIN STREET SPITALFIELDS 1795”. Plain edge. Listed in Bell's “Commercial Coins 1787-1804” as SCARCE. Schooling and Son were scale makers and ironmongers trading from both addresses in London. Nice collectable condition for type, see photograph.
