Hutchison's Edinburgh (Lothian) copper halfpenny token dated 1790. Obverse: St Andrew holding saltire cross with thistles either side and legend: "NEMO ME IMPUNE LACESSIT. 1790". Reverse: Edinburgh Coat of Arms beneath anchor with thistles either side and legend: "EDINBURGH HALFPENNY.". Edge inscription: "PAYABLE AT THE WAREHOUSE OF THOS. & ALEXR. HUTCHISON". Listed in Dalton & Hamer as "SCARCE". Thomas and Alexander Hutchison were Edinburgh merchants with a business in the High Street, Edinburgh.
