Obverse: Shield of arms of the Archibald Family consisting of stars and crescents with a palm branch crest and date either side with legend: "DITAT. SERVATA FIDES. * JOS. ARCHIBALD. SEEDSMAN. EDIN. 1796". Reverse: Legend on five lines: "SELLS GARDEN, GRASS & FLOWER SEEDS, FRUIT TREES &c. &c. &c". Diagonally milled edge. Ex-Michael Paterson Collection, comes with his ticket.
