Scarce Liverpool Ship & Shield Halfpenny 1791

Scarce Liverpool (Lancashire) copper Conder halfpenny token dated 1791. Obverse: Man of war in full sail to right: “LIVERPOOL HALFPENNY”. Reverse: Cormorant in shield surmounted by another, both holding seaweed in beaks, with bulrushes either side: “DEUS NOBIS HÆC OTIA FECIT 1791”. Milled edge to left (/////). Listed in Dalton & Hamer as “SCARCE”. Good collectable condition for type, see photograph.
