Very rare Joseph Sharp's Newburgh (Fife) copper Conder farthing token, undated. Obverse: Legend on three lines, the top and bottom curved: "J. M. SHARP * MERCHT * NEWBURGH". Reverse: Legend on three lines, the top and bottom curved: "TOBACCO & SNUFF * TEAS * WAREHOUSE". Plain edge. Listed in Dalton & Hamer "RR- VERY RARE". Joseph Murray Sharp (c.1792-1857) was a native of England who set up his business as grocer, ironmonger and postmaster on the High Street, Newburgh around 1825, and traded there until his death in 1857.
