Chelmsford Halfpenny 1794

Chelmsford (Essex) copper Conder halfpenny token dated 1794. Obverse: Crown over sword and sceptre with radiating rays behind: “KING AND CONSTITUTION 1794”. Reverse: Standing figure of Hope, her right hand raised and her left arm resting on an anchor: PROSPERITY TO OLD ENGLAND. Diagonally milled edge. Good collectable condition, discoloured, peeling lacquer removed with acetone leaving reflective surfaces not picked up in photograph.
