Extremely rare Wright's Dundee (Angus) copper Conder shilling, undated. Obverse: View of the old Dundee Market Cross with "W" on left and "DES" on right: “DUNDEE SILVER MEDAL. PRICE ONE SHILLING - CROSS TAKEN DOWN 1777”. Reverse: Advancing Highlander with shield and raised claymore above the Arms of Dundee in a sunken oval: “FROM THE HEATH-COVERD MOUNTAINS OF SCOTIA WE COME.”. Plain edge. This is thought to have been produced by the diesinker Wright and issued after his death in 1798. Listed in Dalton & Hamer as "RRR - EXTREMELY RARE".
