Reverse: Legend on two curved lines with value in centre: "W. GALBRAITH GROCER • PAISLEY • 2D". Plain edge. Galbraith's Stores started in Paisley in 1894 and grew to two hundred and twenty stores before it's acquisition in 1954 by Home and Colonial. It survived as Galbraith's as one of the Scottish trading names for Allied Suppliers until 1987, when it disappeared as part of Argyll Supermarkets. Ex-Michael Paterson Collection.
