Dr Stuart's Glasgow Panacea Farthing 1841

Dr. Stuart's Glasgow (Lanarkshire)  farthing token dated 1841. Obverse: Two seated male figures, one taking the other's pulse with legend: "PRIVATE MEDICAL ESTABLISHMENT HONOUR 1841". Reverse: An old medicine bottle labelled "PANACEA" with legend: "DR STUART . 39 MAXWELL STREET GLASGOW . MAY BE CONSULTED BY POST". Plain edge. Dr. John Knox Stuart was a qualified medical practitioner who advertised his services extensively and died on 19th August 1854. Ex-David Pryke Collection. Good collectable condition, see photograph.
