Caverhill's Silk Merchants Edinburgh Farthing 1823

Caverhill’s Edinburgh (Lothians) copper farthing token dated 1823. Obverse: Legend on five lines, the top and bottom curved: “CAVERHILL & Co. 40 PRINCE’S STREET EDINBURGH". Reverse: St. Andrew with cross in centre and date either side with legend: "WHOLESALE & RETAIL SILK & RIBBON WAREHOUSE 1823". Plain edge. Ex-Neil Beaton, ex-A. B. Pardoe Collections, comes with their envelope and ticket. Good collectable condition, cleaned in the past and now toning out, see photograph.
