Scarce Fraser & Laidlaw's Aberdeen copper farthing token dated 1838. Obverse: Legend on seven lines: “PAYABLE AT FRASER & LAIDLAW'S TEA MERCHANTS 57 UNION ST. ABERDEEN”. Reverse: Chinese man sitting on tea crate with canisters behind: “TEAS AS IMPORTED 1838”. Plain edge. Listed in Bell’s “Unofficial Farthings – A Supplement” as “SCARCE”. Ex-R. Ward, Ex-A.
