Isle of Man copper halfpenny token dated 1830. Obverse: Bust of king to right: "GOD : SAVE : THE : KING 1830". Reverse: Legend on three lines, the bottom curved, separated by various ornaments: "FOR PUBLICK ACCOMMODATION". Plain edge. These were issued firstly by John Caine, and later by other members of his family, John McTurk and a Mr. Carter, in order to alleviate the drastic lack of small change on the island.
