Francis & Mary Queen of Scots (1558-1560) twelvepenny groat or "nonsunt", dated 1559, dolphins left. The name nonsunt arose as an abbreviation of the reverse legend: "IAM NON SUNT DUO SED UNA CARO". (They are no more twain, but of one flesh). Reasonable collectable condition for type with small crease, see photograph.
