Robert III Gold Lion

Robert III (1390-1406), gold lion (five shillings), light coinage (1406-1406). Obverse: Crowned lion rampant shield with legend: "ROBERTVS DEI GRACIA REX SCOT". Reverse: St. Andrew crucified on saltire cross with legend: "DNS P TECTOR MV LIBERATV". Same dies as Lockett 814. Good collectable condition for type with some light areas and small edge crack, see photograph.
