Anne Edinburgh Shilling 1707E*

Anne (1702-1714) silver shilling dated 1707E*, second bust. The E* beneath the bust indicates that it was minted in Edinburgh after the Union of the Scottish and English Parliaments in 1707. These were made from the previously circulating old Scottish coinage which was subsequently withdrawn. On a slightly irregular flan in reasonable collectable condition for type, see photograph.
