Very rare Corieltauvi (Mid to Late 1st Century AD) uninscribed silver unit. Obverse: Boar to right with no spear in back, pellet-ring above and pellet line behind. Reverse: Horse to left with forelegs bent, pellet-ring above with pellet below tail, nothing below body. Good collectable condition with reverse slightly off-centre, see photograph. A well centred specimen sold recently for a hammer price of £330.00 at DNW's 5th October 2009 auction, lot no: 5040 listed as "VERY RARE". Spink No: S.396. Diameter 17mm.
