Isle of Man (England) Onchan Internment Camp brass penny undated. Obverse: “1D. ONCHAN INTERNMENT CAMP”. Reverse: Triskeles. These were issued in 1941 for use in the Onchan Internment Camp on the Isle of Man. The camp was used to isolate German civilians during the war. They were later used at Granville Camp and Camp “N” after the closure of Onchan. Nice collectable condition, see photograph. Diameter 18mm. Yarwood IOM No: 02, Coincraft No: MTK-180. Diameter 18mm.
