Smallpage & Lumb's Leeds (Yorkshire) silver shilling dated 1812. Obverse: The partial arms of the Borough of Leeds in centre with legend: “JOHN SMALLPAGE & S. LUMB * LEEDS *”. Reverse: Commerce seated on bale holding scales and cornucopia with legend: ONE SHILLING SILVER TOKEN 1812. Diagonally milled edge. Smallpage and Lumb were Leeds drapers with Smallpage additionally a tailor and undertaker. Their businesses were at 22 Briggate and Meadow Lane respectively.
