Salisbury (Wiltshire) copper Conder halfpenny token dated 1791. Obverse: A bust to the left: "PAYABlE AT SAlISBURY". Reverse: "WGM" monogram in script with legend: "HAlFPENNY 1791". Plain edge. Note the lower case "l"s in the legends. Listed in Bell's "Specious Tokens and those struck for General Circulation 1784-1804" as "R - RARE". Issuer and die-sinker unknown. Ex-Gahlin Collection. An unusual token in lovely collectable condition with a rich chocolate tone, see photograph.
