Rare Kendal (Westmoreland – now Cumbria) copper Conder halfpenny token undated. Obverse: Cypher of “R&D” crested by a lion: with legend: “KENDAL”. Reverse: A man-of-war ship in full sail to right with legend: “THE WOODEN WALLS OF OLD ENGLAND”. Plain edge. Only seven token types were issued for Kendal. Listed in Dalton & Hamer as: "R- RARE". Ex-Neil Beaton Collection. Lovely collectable condition for type, see photograph.
