
Wilkinson's (Warwickshire) copper Conder halfpenny token dated 1791. Obverse: Bust of John Wilkinson with his name misspelt: IOHN WILKENSON IRON MASTER. Reverse: Vulcan seated hammering on anvil behind which is a ship, HALFPENNY 1791. Edge inscription: WILLEY BRADLEY SNEDSHILL BERSHAM. The Wilkinson Series was wrongly attributed by Dalton & Hamer to Warwickshire and should have been included in the Shropshire section. Nice collectable condition for type, see photograph.
