Wilkinson's (Warwickshire) copper Conder halfpenny token dated 1791. Obverse: Bust of John Wilkinson with his name misspelt: “IOHN WILKENSON IRON MASTER”. Reverse: Vulcan seated hammering on anvil behind which is a ship, “HALFPENNY 1791”. Edge inscription: “WILLEY BRADLEY SNEDSHILL BERSHAM”. The Wilkinson Series was wrongly attributed by Dalton & Hamer to Warwickshire and should have been included in the Shropshire section. Nice collectable condition for type, see photograph.
